Job Title: 1st Shift Machinist starting at $25/hour!

Job Description

The Machinist will operate and set up a variety of precision machining instruments, complete CNC programming, and apply knowledge of grinding, drilling, tapping, honing, and sizing of parts in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain machining equipment in a production environment.
• Monitor rates, feeds, speeds and make improvements to optimize processing.
• Reduce scrap and enhance operational efficiency.
• Train lower skilled machining operators.
• Use logic to problem solve and make decisions in the area of responsibility on a regular basis.
• Monitor machining equipment maintenance and safety.
• Work with Engineering to develop fixtures and processes for new products.

Essential Skills

• Strong skills in mechanics, mathematics, and machining procedures.
• CNC programming.
• Precision grinding.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and machining tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Blueprint reading and hydraulic schematics.
• Sizing tools.
• Production schedule software.
• Experience operating manual machining tools.
• Experience with fourth and fifth axis machining.
• Technical Certification in related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing with operation of precision machining equipment.
• An associate degree is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Philipsburg, PA.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
