Territory Sales Manager – Southern U.S. (Remote/Field-Based)

A Territory Sales Manager is required to join a rapidly growing division of an innovative engineering company, specializing in engineered automation, process and connective products. This is a high-impact, field-based role covering the Southern U.S. , offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the territory, drive business growth, and manage key client relationships across a diverse range of industries.

The role will focus on managing and growing client accounts, driving new business development, and overseeing an independent sales rep organization to enhance sales performance. This position is perfect for a driven, results-oriented sales professional with a technical background who thrives in a leadership role, motivating teams and building long-term partnerships.

Package

Base $110,000

Commission: 1% on territory sales (OTE $150,000 - $180,000+)

Car Allowance: $600–$700/month

Benefits: Health, dental, life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and PTO

Travel: 30%-70% initially, remote management on off weeks

• Manage the Southern U.S., identifying and developing new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing clients.
\n
• Lead and support independent sales rep organizations, setting targets, driving performance, and ensuring accountability. Develop strategies to increase mindshare from reps and manage their sales activities.
\n
• Execute your own sales activities, with a mix of direct customer interactions and account management.
\n
• Drive sales across a diverse range of industries including medical, industrial, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), leveraging automation solutions and technical products.
\n
• Work closely with internal teams (engineering, marketing, customer service) to ensure smooth project delivery, from technical quoting to client satisfaction.
\n
• Track performance, manage a pipeline, and provide recommendations for continual improvement.

National Sales Manager / Regional Sales Manager / Sales Manager Requirements

\n
• Proven experience in a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Area Sales Manager, or similar business development role.
\n
• Strong track record in sales leadership, particularly managing independent sales reps. Experience in engaging and motivating external reps is essential.
\n
• Technical background in selling engineered solutions, ideally with exposure to linear motion products, automation, or mechanical systems.
\n
• Experience selling into diverse industries such as medical, industrial, and OEMs, or technical sectors.
\n
• Ability to thrive in a field-based role, with a combination of direct sales and sales leadership.
\n
• Comfortable engaging with clients, engineers, and decision-makers in various settings.
\n
• This role can be based anywhere in the Southern U.S., preferably in a major metropolitan area
